Design Your Own Roving! 

For all the handspinners, roving that you design for your special handspinning project! You choose from a selection of Ashland Bay Trading Company's fine dyed Merino, silky Superfine Suri Alpaca (grown here in Kentucky of course!) and soft lustrous Bamboo.  You can combine any of the three fibers to create your own blend.   We craft your design into 4 ounce Center-Pull Bumps.  Don't forget to order two bumps - one 4 ounce for each bobbin so that you can ply them together.   Now you don't have to figure out the weight for each bobbin. 

Question: What are Center-Pull Bumps? 

Center Pull Bumps, or CPB's, are a joy to spin with as well as a great space saver.  The roving will glide through your hands with virtually no pre-drafting!  CPB's are formed when the roving is wound under tension onto a cylinder.  The pull is from the center of the cylinder.  A 4 ounce CPB typically measures 10" tall and 4 inches wide.
