Important Information
Preparing Your Fleece to Send:
Fiber must be a minimum of 2 inches and a
maximum of 6 inches in length. Minimum Order 3 Pounds (runs less than 3
pounds will be charged at the 3 pound rate).
Your fiber will be evaluated for staple length, vegetation and cleanliness.
We reserve the right to reject any
fiber deemed unsuitable for processing.
Be sure to put your
contact info and fleece description in every bag. Do not
combine fleeces. We check each fleece to make sure it does not have
tender spots which would effect the quality of your end product.
Include our Order Form with each order. Any orders that do not specify
will be processed into 2 ply yarn and skeined in 2 ounce hanks. See
below for shipping tips.
How To Estimate Your Deposit:
To estimate how much deposit you need to
submit, just take the number of pounds of fiber that you need processed and
multiply by $30 to get the amount of the deposit. Once we receive
your 50% deposit, your fiber will be put on the production schedule.
We will contact you with an estimate of the final cost.
Shipping:
Shipping is expensive!
Here's a few tips to help you
get the most for your shipping dollar. Shippers like USPS and UPS
determine the shipping charge by weight, size of the box and speed of
delivery. You do not have options about the weight of your fleece, but
you can control the size of the box and delivery time. First, squeeze
or vacuum as much air as you can out each bag of fleece bag to reduce the
box size needed for shipping. Package your fleece tightly in a sturdy
box. You will be surprised at how much fiber you can get into one box!
Be sure to securely tape all the way around the box on all sides to prevent
a blow out during shipment. Determine how fast you need the fiber to
get to us. Barring any fiber emergency, standard mail would be fine.
Sometimes it is cheaper to send 2-3 day Priority mail than 7-10 day Parcel
Post so ask your favorite mail clerk.
The Fine Print:
All services require a 50%
deposit before being added to the production schedule. Once the deposit has
been received, you will be added to the production calendar and given an
approximate completion date. Upon completion of your order, we will send you
a final invoice. Final payment must be received prior to shipment of your
products. State of Kentucky residents please add 6% sales tax to total
order amount. Your products will be shipped to you once your payment is
received. Outstanding accounts will be assessed a 5% charge on any balance
due over 30 days and for each additional 30 day period the account goes
unpaid. Fiber/yarn from accounts unpaid after 90 days will become the
property of Flaggy Meadow Fiber Works. Prices subject to change
without notice.
Please call prior to visiting or sending your fleece to us!
We accept
checks, Visa, MasterCard and Paypal.
